Our Story

We have been on the forefront of the natural mattress movement since 1999. And are based in Austin Texas.

Sort of grew up in the industry. After carrying all the big “S” brands, & new fad memory foam brands, and after experiencing all the different technologies & core components that were on the market, we came to realize firsthand what worked & what didn’t, what was real and what was fad, in sleep.

It didn’t take long to come to the realization that the normal, non-natural mattresses that were offered to the public were pretty toxically laden with chemicals, so we started carrying the big organic & natural brands that were available at the time.

Then, in 2007-2008, the fire-retardant standards in the US became even more draconic, and the normal, non-natural mattress brands across the country became even heavier laden with chemical fire retardants; full of volatile organic compounds, many that were known carcinogens, endocrine disruptors, developmental neurotoxins, hormonal disruptors & obesogens.

The big national organic & natural mattress lines that are available are all very incredible & clean products, but not very affordable.

So we set out to create a natural, chemical fire retardant free, health mattress line that was inexpensive, but still quality, so that everyone had the opportunity to sleep clean, not just the wealthy.

The result of this, by 2012, was the Mango Mattress line. These are hand-made in Texas & California, and cut out the middleman. After multiple tweaking to the mattresses, over many years, that came from firsthand customer experience & feedback (and we slept on them ourselves!), over the next decade, the mattresses were refined to perfection. Then, very recently, technology in the industry changed once again, so that mattresses could now be compressed, rolled up into a box, and shipped all over the country.
